WA Charity Direct uses a 'Networking' Solution to gain new members. Friends inviting like minded friends and business associates into a no frills, high impact charity. In 2004 the two founding Members, Aidan Hooper and Damien Eves invited 8 Members to form the first 10 Members. From this $20,000 was raised.
In 2005 the 8 Members invited two new Members each which raised a total of $52,000 (26 members)
The pattern continued in 2006 with 32 new Members joining the existing 26. In August 2006 $116,000 was raised (58 members)
In August 2007, the Charity reached 100 members raising $200,000 (100 members)
WA Charity Direct has now grown to 134 members with the inclusion of corporate members, raising $268,000 per annum.
